Who Plusnet broadband suits
Plusnet suits people who want value full fibre broadband and do not need a landline. Plusnet is part of BT Group and sells its broadband over the Openreach network. Full fibre means a fibre cable runs all the way into your home.
Our table lists five packages, with advertised speeds from 74Mb to 900Mb. Each deal runs on a 24-month contract and includes a Hub Two router. The speed you get depends on your address, router and Wi-Fi.
Plusnet may not suit you if you need a home phone line, because its deals come without one. Full fibre availability depends on your postcode, so check yours first. To compare rivals, see our cheapest broadband guide.
Network, speeds and availability
Plusnet broadband is full fibre, with advertised speeds from 74Mb to 900Mb. Full fibre means a fibre cable runs all the way into your home. Plusnet sells it over the Openreach network, which most providers also use.
Plusnet broadband needs no phone line, and the Hub Two router is included. The speed you get depends on your address, your router and your Wi-Fi. The speeds in our table are what Plusnet advertises, not a promise for your home.
Availability depends on your address, so check your postcode on Plusnet's site first. Then sort the table by speed to find the package that fits how you use the internet. Want to compare more options? Start with our cheapest broadband guide.
What it really costs
Plusnet broadband runs on a 24-month contract, and our table shows its real cost over all 24 months. Your first month's total includes a £9.99 activation fee. Plusnet states any mid-contract price rise in pounds on its deal page, and our table builds those rises in.
Real cost means everything you pay over the contract, minus any reward card, divided by the months. Plusnet includes a Hub Two router. Selected plans come with a Plusnet Reward Card; the table shows which, and takes its value off the real cost. Its cash value lowers your real cost.
Compare the real cost column, not just the monthly price. Sort by real cost, cheapest first, then check the cheapest broadband deals to see how Plusnet compares with rivals. New customers only.
