BuyingExpert sets no advertising cookies. We use cookies to keep the site working and to understand how it is used.

Essential

We may use strictly necessary cookies required for the site to function (for example, basic security). These don't track you and can't be switched off.

Analytics

Our own analytics sets _wsv, a random visitor identifier kept for two years so we can recognise a returning browser (a copy is kept in your browser's local storage); _wss, a session marker that expires after 30 minutes without activity; and, if you opt out below, _wso, which remembers that choice. Our own team's browsers also carry _wsi, so our visits are left out of the figures. Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_<id> (two years). What these record is set out in our Privacy Policy; we use it only to improve the site, never for advertising.

Deal links

When you open a deal from a provider that pays us, an affiliate network (such as Awin) may set its own cookie on the provider's site so the provider knows you came from BuyingExpert. That cookie belongs to the network and follows its own cookie policy.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Doing so won't break the site.
