Who EE broadband suits

EE broadband suits people who want fast full fibre, speed guarantees and a provider that runs its own mobile network.

EE's four packages run from 150Mb to 1600Mb, all on full fibre. Full fibre means a fibre cable runs all the way into your home. EE also lists speed guarantees at 125Mbps, 425Mbps, 700Mbps and 1.3Gbps. Pick the speed your household needs.

It suits homes that do not need a landline, because EE broadband comes without one. It also suits people who already use EE for mobile. EE sells SIM-only plans on its own network, plus TV and broadband bundles.

It may not suit you if you need a landline. Deals are for new customers only, and availability depends on your postcode. Check your postcode on EE's site first, then compare the real cost against rivals on cheapest broadband.

Network, speeds and availability

EE broadband in our table runs on full fibre, with advertised speeds from 150Mb to 1600Mb. Full fibre means a fibre cable runs all the way into your home. No copper is used for the last stretch. EE sells its broadband over the Openreach network, which most providers use too.

The table shows the speeds EE advertises. EE also lists speed guarantees of 125Mbps, 425Mbps, 700Mbps and 1.3Gbps as extras. The speed you get depends on your address, your router and your Wi-Fi.

EE deals are for new customers, and availability depends on your postcode. Check your postcode on EE's site before you choose. Then compare the cheapest broadband side by side and sort the table by speed.

What it really costs

EE broadband runs on a 24-month contract, and our table builds every stated price rise into the real cost.

EE states each mid-contract rise in pounds on its deal page. Ofcom rules also ban percentage and inflation-linked rises in new contracts.

EE also lists extras with its broadband. It credits up to £200 towards leaving fees when you switch. The limit is £300 if you switch TV too. The WiFi 7 Smart Hub 7 Plus router is listed as an extra as well.

Sort the table by real cost to see the cheapest option first. Real cost includes the monthly price, every stated rise and any setup fee, averaged over the contract. Then compare EE with cheapest broadband deals from other providers before you decide.

Straight answers

Questions people ask

Is EE broadband good value?
EE broadband can be good value if you want full fibre and a speed guarantee. Its advertised speeds run from 150Mb to 1600Mb, and it states any mid-contract price rises in pounds. Check its real cost in our table against rival deals before you decide, because the best value depends on your postcode and budget.
Does EE raise prices mid-contract?
Yes, EE can raise its prices during your contract, but it states each rise in pounds on its deal page. Our table adds every stated rise into the real cost, so you can compare the true price before you sign. Since 17 January 2025, Ofcom rules say providers must show any rise in a new contract in pounds and pence, not as a percentage.
How do I switch to EE?
Pick an EE deal in our table, check your postcode, then sign up. EE deals are for new customers only. Under Ofcom's One Touch Switch, you only contact EE, and it tells your old provider and arranges the switch. Sign up online or by phone and you get a 14-day cooling-off period in which you can cancel.
